Title: Login Screen – behind the scenes
Context: The devil – and the difference – are in the details.
Synopsis: How much time and effort are you really able to spend on the tiniest details of your design work? I am sure the answer is “not enough”. Which is why it is so nice to see instances where people have been fortunate enough to have actually spent the requisite amount of obsession turning something usually overlooked into a mini-work of interaction art. The specifics of the solution are almost besides the point. The care and attention evidenced by the nuanced handling of every eventuality throughout the workflow is sublime. The difference between an acceptable user experience and one your users crave is a byproduct of the rarest of design resources: time.
Best Bit: “At the end of the day, people don’t want to stay staring at a login form…they want to find out more about their website.”
