Title: Passive magic, design of delightful experience
Context: Filling your end users with delight is rarely easy, but always rewarded.
Synopsis: This is basically just a collection of really cool (read: delightful) user experiences. From hardware to software, and all the just-right-ware in between, love to be rewarded for interacting with your keyboard, car, app, website, what have you. But remember; “delight” is not trickery. You are not trying to build a once off experience that pleases the first time and gradually loses its luster the more someone engages with it. True delight withstands degradation as a function of repetition, meaning that the hundredth time you use it is as awesome as the first. Bonus points for experiences where the delight quotient grows the more you use it.
Best Bit: “It is noteworthy when the design of an experience is so compelling that you feel wonder and delight.”
