Title: The UX of UP: Urinals and Usability
Context: All UX designers must wash their hands before returning to work.
Synopsis: UX can be found all around us. Yes even…in there. Our natural bodily functions — as gender-specifically universal as they are — have been with us since, well, as long as any of us can remember anyway. Yet even so, the range of options one is exposed to when…um…one is exposing themselves, is incredibly diverse. We couldn’t have settled on a standard by now? (American Standard notwithstanding.) I guess we, as a species, enjoy tinkering (not tinkling) far too much to settle on a single way of doing…these types of things. Anyway, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to…erm…go deal with some user experience related issues right now.
Best Bit: “If you’ll pardon the digression, I’d like to take a moment to discuss toilet flushers and what they can also teach us about mobile UX.”
