This isn’t your dad’s bicycle. This is your bicycle. As well as the user experience that comes with it.

Title: The Inverted Bike Shop: Collaborative building
Context: “Umm, these things are supposed to be about UX. What’s up with the bike shop story?” Just read it and trust me.
Synopsis: Customization is the new black. If black was a metaphor for really cool user experiences. Even for objects that were once only available in mass produced batches can today be delivered bespoke, built to exacting personal specifications and taste. This is not always because the technology now makes it any easier but because people’s expectations have changed. Where once we resigned ourselves to variations on a theme today we seek out personalized experiences because those are what give us meaning. Technology surely has helped to change people’s perceptions of what they want, and indeed, need, but this manifests itself across the full range of our commercial and expressive endeavors. So welcome to the world of experiences designed exclusively for you. And enjoy your new bike.
Best Bit: “…this is a completely unique approach to bike building, putting your needs as a consumer first and going a step further, putting you at the centre of the design process.”
