If being right is wrong then I don’t want to be right. Or wrong. Either. Forget it.

Title: Why being wrong is good for you
Context: Show me a person who is never wrong, and I’ll show you someone who will bore the crap out of you.
Synopsis: Nobody likes being wrong because, by definition, that means that you are not right. That you have wasted your time working to arrive at a conclusion that is fallacious and, dare I say, worthless. We fear being wrong because productivity and success are functions of being right more than the alternative. Right? Maybe not. Maybe being wrong is a necessary toll on the road to being right. Rather than fearing wrongness we should embrace it, as Edison happily pointed out, the elimination of yet another dead end bringing you one step closer to the correct answer. Everybody is wrong and the more and harder you work the more wrong you are going to be. Always waiting for the right answer before speaking up is the safe and boring way of living your life. Don’t be afraid to be wrong, be afraid to never step out on a limb and potentially expose yourself to being wrong. Right can be very, very boring.
Best Bit: “The miracle of your mind is not that you can see the world as it is, but that you are able to see the world as it isn’t.”
