Synopsis: The promise of multi-touch interaction presents several problems in the context of desktop computing, i.e. ergonomic, metaphorical, organizational. Here is a concept that tries to address these issues by not only revising the traditional single point model of interaction we currently use to manipulate our computers but also reinventing the arrangement of windows and controls to best leverage this emerging, powerful interaction paradigm. This quick 8-minute video is a proof of concept showcasing some interesting ideas for the merging of multi-touch interactivity with the desktop metaphor. It’s not just an interesting collection of good ideas, it’s also a very succinct and clear explanation of an innovative idea.
