You still make phone calls? How quaint.

Title: The Phone Call Is Dead
Context: Want another reason to move UC clients away from a telephony mindset? How about TechCrunch telling you that voice calls are passé.
Synopsis: Well voice isn’t really dead just yet. But it is on life support. Check the stats. Almost no one under retirement age uses phone calls anymore (gross over exaggeration but like most apocryphal trends there’s a kernel of truth in there.) The means of communication evolve which gives people an increasing number of options which drives behavior change. We may also know this change by another name: disruption. Either way, you should lead, follow or get out of the way. Just remember to check your voicemail before you make up your mind.
Best Bit: “The phone call is the new hand written letter.” Tweet from Gary Vaynerchuk who likes social media. A lot.
